Macmillan Davies are looking to attract a Learning and Development Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing, highly acquisitive organisation based in Greater Manchester. This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity for a well-equipped individual to introduce a full L&D strategy to a successful and growing business operating within the smart energy sector. With a recently strengthened People team, and an impressive CPO ensuring that the people strategy is at the heart of everything the business do, there couldn't be a better time for the L&D Manager to enter in to the business and put in place the building blocks to allow the expanding employee population to flourish. About the role Reporting to the recently appointed Head of Talent (Management&Acquisition), the L&D Manager will be tasked with: Establishing the company wide L&D offering at all levels including leadership, taking a digital first approach in the set up Partnering with operationally facing members of the People Team to provide the scope for line management development With the Head of Talent, establish and implement a talent management and succession process for delivery by People Partners and supported by the L&D offering Design and implementation of early careers strategy to deliver against future talent requirements and in line with D&I plan and ambitions, using the Apprenticeship Levy accordingly Working with the Talent Acquisition team to develop access to early and future talent sources and candidate pools Own the levy monitoring and utilisation process Ownership and review of the LMS Utilising data and analytics to measure effectiveness of L&D initiatives About you We're looking for a digitally savvy Learning and Development professional hungry for a new challenge and motivated by introducing something the business do not currently have. You will be a self-starter adept at implementing all elements of the L&D arena from early careers to leadership development. The business will only grow, as will this role. The L&D Manager will take responsibility of a small team so the ability to operate top to bottom is essential. You will be able to influence and ensure that the initiatives you are putting in place are showcased in the appropriate fashion across the entire business of circa 1,800 and rising.
