A National Leader, dealing within the mine winder and lifting equipment environment, has an opportunity for a lead Project Engineer. Duties/Requirements: OEM Installations and commissioning Winder systems and related products, which spans the disciplines of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical engineering, production and site installation and commissioning Oversee all Project Management Provide leadership on the development of project management system requirements within the company, relating to process flows, planning, information management and transfer between departments Provide input into the development of general business systems within the company Set up and manage project management operational processes within the company in line with accepted best practices and appropriate to the business model and size of the company Includes formal development of Project Management Processes, Procedures and other aspects as required by the company’s ISO9001:2015 certification More than 5 years Design experience More than 5 years project engineering/management experience Experience in leading a multi-disciplined team 10 Years’ experience in mining machine OEM environment The role is split between leading the project management team and managing projects Ensure performance of projects within client and company expectations from time of Sales and Marketing handover to time of completion of the defects Liability Period and return of all bonds and other liabilities Interface with clients including all formal technical, commercial, financial, scheduling, reporting and general communications Interface with and coordinate the actions of internal departments including Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Production, Procurement, Services, QA/QC and SHE to ensure completion of projects within allocated time and budget constraints while continually seeking to improve delivery and financial performance parameters of projects Establishment and control of project schedules so as to ensure timeous expediting and accurate reporting of project progress in line with contractual requirements Monitor and ensure the timeous carrying out of all necessary procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing activities. Interface with heads of the following departments in order to achieve alignment of operational aspects of the departments with the requirements of the company’s contractual deliverables: Automation Engineering Mechanical Engineering Hydraulic Engineering Electrical Production Mechanical Production Services Chair weekly Major Projects Meetings where overall progress, scope, commercial, engineering, production, site and quality aspects are touched on in order to ensure overall alignment between the departments Network Recruitment is a leading specialist recruitment company in the fields of IT, Finance and Engineering.
