Medication Safety Management:? Implement best operating practice related to medication safety with theobjective of reducing medication incidents.? Drive a system of incident reporting, identify negative trends andimplement corrective action.? Drive antimicrobial stewardship programs in the hospital.? Drive the implementation and compliance to company policies andprocesses.? Ensure compliance with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC),Department of Health (DOH) and other statutory and legalrequirements.Relationship Management:? Manage the cost of sales of pharmaceuticals in line with revenue andbudget.? Communicate and implement cost saving opportunities.? Conduct financial analysis monthly, identify negative trends andimplement corrective action.? Ensure that expenses are authorized and allocated and controlledaccordingly.? Scrutinize stock reports regularly to identify errors and implementcorrective measures so as to ensure proper inventory management iscontinuously improved and risks identified and mitigated.? Implement effective stock management processes:o Stock is ordered, received and issued according to Companyrequirements and stock management principles;o Preferred supplier agreements are adhered to;o Stock takes are coordinated according Company requirements; ando Stock variances are reported and addressed in order to minimizerisks.People Management:? Demonstrate visible leadership in respect of Group values, strategy andoperating model.? Sponsor company initiatives and projects as it relates to the hospital.? Participate in hospital management committee meetings and forums.? Lead and manage the Pharmacy team meetings and ensureparticipation from all parties.? Recruit, retain, motivate and develop Pharmacy staff.? Provide direction and inspire positive work behavior in team.? Review compliance to company standards and statutory and legalrequirements, and manage performance (outputs) of staff within area ofresponsibility and take remedial action.#J-18808-Ljbffr
