Manufacturing concern in KZN is seeking a Debtors Manager to determine their existing and new customers creditworthiness. To analyze financial data to assess the likelihood of a customer honoring their financial obligations. To ensure the efficient collection of monies owed to the Company and control of all Debtors Accounts.Responsibilities:Manage month end processes and reconsManage Credit and Collections functionEstablish strategies in terms of risk management and collectionsOverseeing the collection of delinquent accountsOverseeing debtors and manages a teamOrganizing meetings and ensuring that the debtors department & management is well-prepared for meetings.Managing Debtors Book and Debtors reports for Chief Financial OfficerManagement of client queries in a timely mannerManaging Payment Allocations, Cash flow monitoring and updatesManaging and constant supervision of the Funding Facility with the Bank.Monitor Ineligibles and reduce week on week.CGIC Handovers Follow through from lodging of claim to payment and provisionRebates & Credit Note Provision Detailed analysis monthlyBad Debt Reconciliations across all Entities - monthlyManaging Billings Processing and Integration of billings through systemsSending out weekly query report to various DepartmentsManagement of the collections of outstanding debtMeeting with client and Account managers to resolve big account issuesOverseeing the Capturing of Bank statement by the debtors department for Accountants to capture PaymentsEvaluating and reporting on customers credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit to them and making recommendations to management about the degree of risk in extending credit to customers.Analyzing client records and using the data to recommend payment plans and reducing internal cover requirements.Conferring with credit associations and references to exchange credit information on clients.Engaging in customer visits as part of the credit risk assessment.Requirements:Minimum 10 years debtors manager and/or credit experience.Minimum of 5 years experience in management of people.Credit qualification/Degree will be advantageous.FMCG, Rebates and Manufacturing sector experience essential.Full knowledge of the requirements in respect of National Credit Act, Consumer Protection Act and POPI and IFRS 9.Understand risk, business processes and controlsExcellent leadership skill, including strong coaching experience.BusinessAnalytical skillsManagement reporting skills
