Key Responsibilities: Design and develop data models to support business requirements, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency. Create and maintain logical and physical data models, defining data structures, relationships, and metadata. Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions using Azure services. Design and implement data warehousing solutions on Azure, leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure data storage and processing services. Develop data migration strategies and processes, ensuring data quality and consistency across platforms, utilizing Azure Data Migration Service and Azure Database Migration Service. Evaluate and recommend Azure data storage and management technologies, considering performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with data security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies, leveraging Azure security and compliance tools. Optimize and tune Azure database systems for improved performance and reliability, using Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, and other relevant tools. Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data architecture guidelines for Azure-based solutions. Provide guidance and support to data engineers and other team members in Azure data architecture best practices. Who Do You Need to Be? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and database design, with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Strong knowledge of Azure data services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Cosmos DB. Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies, such as ETL, OLAP, and star schema, within the Azure ecosystem. Proficiency in data modeling tools, such as ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or ERwin. Familiarity with big data platforms, such as Azure Databricks, Azure HDInsight, or Azure Stream Analytics. Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions, particularly Azure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, such as GDPR or POPIA, and experience implementing them within Azure solutions. Good understanding of data warehousing and analytical methodologies and solution delivery Strong problem solving skills Excellent communication skills with the emphasis on relationship building, understanding business requirements, and management of business expectations Ability to be proactive and accountable for your own deliverables Ability to work within a team Effective planning and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven #J-18808-Ljbffr
