Requirements: Education: Instrumentation Engineering Degree or BTech qualification. Experience: Minimum of 10 years previous control and instrumentation engineering experience in EPCM industrial projects. Certification: ECSA registered as a Professional Engineer or Technologist Skills: Greenfields and brownfields plant design and construction experience. Well-*** in a variety of SCADA and PLC's. Previous experience on industrial projects across South Africa and Africa. Experience mentoring and training multi-cultural teams. Responsibilities: Overseeing the Control and Instrumentation engineering activities for various projects to safely deliver on all company operational plans during the project execution phase. Reviewing technical documentation and defining engineering requirements. Controlling of subcontracted discipline engineering documents. Carrying out technical evaluations. Ensuring minimal cost through instrument systems optimisation. Functional analysis and preparing specifications for instruments, systems and installation. Implements instrument detail design on P&ID's. Compiling instrument data sheets, loop diagrams and material take-off. Monitor project engineering development for estimate, control and review of costs related to design scope changes. Provide feedback on the quality, use and value of design systems used in design processes. Attend factory acceptance tests and provide input to vendors test documentation. Produce site inspections, functionality testing and commissioning reporting documentation. Assist with plant Control&Instrumentation equipment and system installation and commissioning. Prepare project close out reports with comparisons of design and procurement engineering man hour budgets in relation to project actual man hours. Liaise with the client to ensure that agreed designs are in accordance with agreed requirements. Mentoring and training of subordinates. Assist the discipline or project engineering manager with accurate forecasting of discipline manpower. #J-18808-Ljbffr
