Our Client is on a search for a Senior Purchasing Specialist to join their dynamic team, the role of the Senior Purchasing Specialist will be to research and identify prospective suppliers, evaluate their offering against key business criteria and the required product specifications, and negotiate purchase agreements. Key responsibilities:Lead the development, improvement and roll out of category strategiesRunning cost saving projects and localization initiativesMonitoring supply risks and developing sourcing strategiesNegotiating commercial terms and supply conditionsBenchmark studiesInputting correct material prices in the systemMinimize pricing errors in SAPInvestigate & correct pricing errorsIdentify and resolve financial risk.Negotiate and implement contractsSuccessful introduction of ISIRs and pilot runsSecuring suppliers that match company business goalsGlobal material discussions and negotiationsMarket AnalysisSpend Analysis Skills & qualifications:Degree – Engineering / Supply Chain / Procurement3 – 5 years’ experience in ProcurementHigh degree of analytical capabilityUnderstand manufacturing processesAbility to engage, network and influence suppliersProven track record for problem solving and successful project deliveryProficient in MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPointMust have very good SAP knowledge and skills
