Job SummaryCIB Markets Technology is looking for a Integration Developer to support, enhance and expand the CPF Loan integration stack for the integration between the hosted ACBS solution and Absa for CPF and IBD business areas.Job DescriptionDetails of the environment:The system manages commercial lending and integrates with other applications and services internally & externallyLinux is the core development environment which hosts web servers and application servicesThe system also includes some legacy Windows applications which may need maintenance if requiredKey critical experience required: Relevant B-Degree in Computer Science, IT Degree/Diploma Mainframe/COBOL experience Minimum 3 years' experience in C or C++, preferably backend type processing with a good understanding of object orientated type development (core skill) Exposure or experience with web technologies such as PHP, REst API, scripting & HTML. (LEMP Stack) Good database skills with relational type databases Experience with SQL/PL SQL & stored procedures (core skill) Experience with Linux development, shell scripting, BASH Experience with Visual Studio Development environment Knowledge of mainframe type systems will be advantageousInterpersonal skills: Strong communications skills - written & verbal, ability to effectively provide and manage communication with all stakeholders within a project Problem solver, ability to take ownership of problems and see it through to a successful resolution Collaborative team player Open to a challenge, you are proactive with a sense of urgency to get issues resolved Key Accountabilities:Apply critical thinking, design thinking and problem solving skills in an agile team environment to solve technical problems with high quality solutionsWork on change requests and new requirements from the businessFocus on all areas of the software development lifecycleMaintenance and enhancements of existing applicationsApplication design and developmentDatabase maintenance, development and enhancementsUser interface design and developmentOperating system maintenance, upgrading and new installations when requiredTesting applications and writing technical documentationCollaborate with Business Analysts and Test AnalystsResearch and investigate new technologies, Stay ahead of the curve on emerging technologies and development practices and continuously evolve existing knowledge and skill in preparation for cross domain and other experiencesEvaluate analysis, problem definition, business requirements, solution development and provide recommendations to enable the operational feasibility of solutionsAvailability for standby duties and monitoring applications after hours (rotational roster) Education Bachelor's Degree: Information TechnologyAbsa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
