Skills & Experience:Transmission/ Distribution Project EngineeringProject ManagementQualification:BEng or BSc or BTech (Electrical Engineering)Professionally registered with ECSARequirements:General understanding of Control/Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) Systems, Switchgear, Transformers, Substation, and Distribution/Transmission throughout the project lifecycleStrong technical grasp of Power Systems, including protection, instrumentation, and renewable energy systemsProficiency in electrical power systems software such as Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP/DigSilent)Conduct advanced system studies including short circuit, load flow, stability, motor starting, harmonics, relay coordination, and earthingFamiliarity with electrical transmission and distribution systems and techniques, as well as knowledge of cable and wire products and design methodsExpertise in Electrical Control Systems, encompassing design, equipment, and system implementationAbility to apply technical knowledge to develop design criteria that meet project requirements or support the design of new components/equipmentProficient in creating, interpreting, and communicating technical specifications and documentationCapable of developing plant layouts that are functional, safe, and cost-effectiveUnderstanding of materials fundamentals and their properties relevant to engineering and manufacturing activitiesKnowledge of on-site construction work, commissioning processes, and interactions with contractors and suppliersCompetence in cost estimation, including the cost of deliverables generation, and understanding project budgeting and procurement processesGood understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Mine Health Safety Act, and Environmental Management principles, practices, and statutory requirementsComprehensive understanding of electrical infrastructure systems, including protection and distribution requirements, as well as familiarity with commercial construction industry practices, construction contracts, and budget/schedule managementHigh level of motivation coupled with strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, influence, people management abilities, and a commitment to leading by example and fostering teamworkEnsure timely, within-scope, and within-budget delivery of all projectsAssist in defining project scope and objectives, involving relevant internal stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsure availability and allocation of resources for project executionDevelop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress effectivelyManage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification methodsMeasure project performance using relevant project management tools and techniquesDemonstrated experience in project execution through EPC/EPCM/Construction partnersAdditional Information:Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.Contact Nonku Ndzondo on#J-18808-Ljbffr
