As a technical expert, you'll specialise in VMware solutions, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualization infrastructure. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, and providing strategic guidance on VMware environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.What you’ll do:VMWare – 8 to 10 yearsMaintain the different vCenter, cluster, and DC environments and usage.Knowledge on VMware Horizon environment 7 and 8Instant ClonesRecomposing of existing VDI'sTroubleshoot performance issues on hosts and VMsKnowledge on vROPS and Log InsightsSRM with Nutanix replicationDR tests performed every 3 months, onsite required, and knowledgeable on SRM failover testing.Upgrade of ESXi, vCenters, and VMware platformsLog calls with VMware support if and when requiredHandle any vulnerabilities with urgent attentionHPE hardware supportYour expertise:High-paced 24x7 environment with a lot of different technologies, so knowing how network and security plugs into an estate is advised.Adding resources to VMs.Maintenance tasks such as upgrades are done on weekends onlyQualifications required:VMware VCP 7 / 8VMware Horizon 7 / 8VMwareHPE Hardware SupportOther information applicable to the opportunity:Contract Position (12 Months)Location: Durban (Onsite / Remote Client Site)Work environment: High paced 24x7 environment with a lot of different technologies, so knowing how network and security plugs into an estate is advised.
