Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for the following:Lead the design and engineering of LV, MV, HV in solar, wind, gas generators, and battery energy storage systems.Conducting detailed feasibility studies and analyzing data to determine the most efficient and cost-effective energy-related solutions.Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical design engineering.Participate in the development and review of project proposals and contracts.Conferring with clients, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects.Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for energy projects.Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to energy installations.Develop and implement quality assurance processes and standards for energy projects.QualificationsBEng/BSc (Electrical)Professionally registeredSkillsKnowledge of Construction and Project Management will be an added advantage.Awareness and understanding of the relevant technical codes, regulations, and standards relating to the development of renewable energy projects in South Africa.Detailed understanding of the South African Grid Code and the South African Grid Code Compliance process as well as existing relationships with Eskom, RETEC, NERSA, and the Grid Operator.Strong understanding of the electrical and civil balance of plant EPC and O&M agreements.Willingness to travel to sites.Experienced in contract negotiation.
