Job DescriptionA large consulting company with offices across South Africa working on projects worldwide is looking for a Professional Structural Engineer.Minimum requirements:BSc/MSc or BEng or BTech in structural engineering.Minimum of 5 years plus of relevant experience within a consulting engineering business operating within the commercial Built Environment.Professionally Registered or about to Register (Pr.Eng or similar).A strong background in the lateral design of structures using software such as Etabs, Strand7 or similar.Experience with managing design teams, to complete tasks and produce high quality deliverables such as drawings, reports, and calculations on time.International project experience (outside Africa beneficial)Your responsibilities will include:Able to lead teams and junior engineers and modellers.Providing technical advice and liaising with relevant professional staff across multiple international locations.Take responsibility and accountability for all related design aspects, from conceptional to final design.Coordinating with other disciplines on a project.Quality control on deliverables (incl. modeling works, data/parameter management).Maintain project records in accordance with internal quality system.Challenge the team to remain ahead of the technology curve, regarding technological trends, as well as design execution.Develop scripts and add-ins to automate repetitive design aspects and/or to check various design compliance aspects (using e.g., Dynamo, Python).Experience with managing design teams, to complete tasks and produce high quality deliverables such as drawings, reports, schedules, and calculations on time.#J-18808-Ljbffr
