Job title: Green House Gas ConsultantLocation: South Africa (Gauteng, Cape Town, Gqeberha or Middelburg)TGRC partnered with a global certification testing & inspection consulting company looking for a Green House Gas (GHG) Consultant. Candidate should have extensive work experience in the field of Environmental, sustainability and climate change and have participated in project executions. Knowledge of Climate Change Policies, reporting standards, GHG Protocol, UNFCCC guidance and IPCC Guidelines. GHG Verifier will be reporting to the Climate change business head and cross-functionality with the VVB (Validation & Verification Bodies).This role will require conducting virtual and on-site verification audits, carbon accounting, emissions reduction strategy development, setting and achieving net zero targets and providing GHG training (training as and when required). Should have excellent communication and presentation skills and should be able to liaise and coordinate with the Govt., Private and Investment clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:Review the documentation and provide the necessary feedback to the VVB to establish an accurate audit plan and report timelines.Perform greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions verifications for clients by performing on-site and off-site audits of their operations, processes, and documentation and working in a team of auditors and or lead one.Respond to VVB and Project Developers' queries about V&V reviews promptly.Draft the relevant documentation of the outcomes of the V&V projects.Maintain the record and documentation of audit for the continuation of ISO 14065 accreditation.Assist & or deliver public and private greenhouse gas (GHG) training for clients.Support in the preparation of project proposals to the sales team.Execute the project with expected results, prepare final reports and represent the team.Communicate with various stakeholders internally and externally, project developers, team members, technical experts, etc.Support the business head in the preparation of relevant reports such as pipeline updates as and when required.Support in key client meetings as the technical expert.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum of a University degree or equivalent in the field of engineering, natural science, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of professional work.Priority will be given to any professional qualifications or training related to GHG audit work.A qualified auditor with any accreditation & or certification scheme like GHG, ISO 14065, CDM, etc. is required.In conclusion, Don't miss this exciting opportunity to be part of the renewable energy revolution.
