The opportunity: Responsibilities: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join the IT division. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial aspects related to the IT operations and initiatives and leading a team. This also encompasses support in relation to the commercial and value-adding activities undertaken by the Finance Business Partner. Key Performance Areas: Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement best practices, standardized procedures, and automated solutions for financial management and reporting.Providing financial insight and analysis on IT cost allocation to the business which impacts performance of the organisation.Ownership of accurate and timely transactional processing and financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting at the divisional level, as required by the business. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for IT management, executive leadership, and other stakeholders, including variance analysis. Support the Business Partner in analysing management reports and financial performance of the division against its specific targets, previous years, and non-financial data.Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.Manage and optimize IT-related costs, including licenses, subscriptions, and external services. Understand IT cost allocations to the business and drive resolution of queries from the business of the charges. Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and resource optimization within the IT division. Lead a team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster professional growth and development. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.Management/Execution of ad hoc projects.Approval of journals in SAP.Review of balance sheet reconciliations.Investigation of and resolving ad-hoc queriesRequirements & Experience: BCom Degree in Financial/ Management Accounting or equivalent. CIMA or CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous.Proven experience (>5 years) in financial management, budgeting, and analysis, preferably in the IT industry or technology-driven organizations.Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel and financial management systems (e.g. SAP ERP & SAP BPC, BI Tools).Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in finance and technology.#J-18808-Ljbffr
