The purpose of the Marketing Officer is to ensure the effective implementation and supervision of marketing strategies and campaigns, contributing to the company's growth and brand visibility. This individual will oversee the execution of marketing initiatives, manage events, coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and handle administrative tasks, ensuring that all marketing activities are aligned with the company's objectives and standards. Responsibilities: Campaign Implementation and Supervision: Oversee the implementation of marketing campaigns developed by the strategy team. Ensure all campaigns are executed on time and meet the defined goals and metrics. Event Planning and Management: Organize and manage company events, including industry conferences, product launches, and community outreach programs. Ensure all events are executed smoothly, within budget, and meet the company’s standards. Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of services and materials for marketing initiatives. Administrative Support: Manage all administrative tasks related to the marketing team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, and handling budgets. Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise junior marketing staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Act as a mentor or coach to less experienced team members. Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices for marketing processes and workflows. Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and quality in marketing operations. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on marketing performance and present findings to the marketing manager and executive team. Analyse campaign data to derive insights and inform future marketing strategies. Essential Requirements: Matric. Tertiary degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised South African institution (NQF Level 5/6). 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or event planning role, with demonstrated proficiency in advanced operational skills.
