As a Risk and Compliance Specialist, you'll work closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance to design and implement systems and controls that ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Your role will be pivotal in developing Compliance Risk Management Plans , advising the staff and clients on regulatory matters, and contributing to a strong risk and compliance culture within the organization. You'll also have the opportunity to provide training to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring everyone is equipped with the knowledge they need to navigate regulatory requirements. To excel in this role, you should bring a wealth of experience to the table, including: A legal degree recognized in terms of FAIS Admittance as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa 8-10 years experience in risk & compliance within the South African insurance industry Strong knowledge of insurance legislation and regulations, including the Insurance Act, the Long- and Short-Term Insurance Acts, and more Preferred qualifications such as a B.Com. LLB, post-graduate diploma in Compliance Management, and membership in CISA If you're analytical , communicative , and proactive with excellent organizational skills , we want to hear from you.
