Trainee Accountant/ Junior Accountant The above position is vacant at CashMaster in Waltloo, reporting to the Financial Manager at CashMaster. Minimum Requirements: Minimum Matric Certificate and Degree / Diploma in Accounting Sciences. SAP knowledge is essential. 1 Year prior experience is essential. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint is essential. Previous experience in the Cash Industry is advantageous. Accuracy and highly methodical working methods are required. Ability to liaise professionally with personnel at all levels. Ability to work without supervision, under pressure, and meet strict deadlines. Ability to report on the various product types. Ability to assist and resolve queries relating to reconciliation. Attention to detail. Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive) Daily processing of bank account. Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts as per schedules. Submit all reconciliation on time. Identify and resolve reconciliation differences. Processing and preparation of Journal entries Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports. Assist the Accountant with preparation of monthly and annual reporting. Update financial data in database to ensure the information is accurate and immediately available. Processing monthly revenue and expense accruals. Regularly reviewing and clearing the bank clearing accounts in the general ledger and following up on uncleared items (unallocated deposits, etc) Exercising control over the CashMaster petty cash, reconciling the account, and requesting reimbursements.
