Job Description Old Mutual Group Forensic Services (GFS) is mandated to not only investigate allegations of fraud, corruption and misconduct, but also to support business in managing fraud risk via transaction analysis and pro-active measures. This role will be responsible for the execution of best operating practices within the Forensics field as you carry out forensic investigations in complex cases. Opportunities will exist to participate in multi-disciplinary project teams to drive the shift towards a more proactive forensic function. Key Result Areas Prioritising, planning and execution of forensic work, including the identification of key findings/recommendations. This includes the complete and accurate identification of risk&control breakdowns and consideration of practical pro-active measures that could be implemented to avoid a re-occurrence. Maintenance of evidentiary material to support the findings and the contents of the electronic case/project management system. Drafts reports with findings and recommendations. Follows up on all recommendations made to business. Manages client and stakeholder relationships without supervision, including providing regular feedback to stakeholders. Creates a climate for optimal performance. Makes increased contributions by broadening skills and knowledge. Plans and executes investigations/projects with minimum supervision. Maintains accurate and complete information of forensic work on the electronic case management system. Accountable for service delivery through own efforts. Collaborates effectively with others to achieve personal results. Accepts and lives the company values. Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required Matric/Grade 12. 3-year qualification or equivalent in Forensic related field or Risk Management is required. Legal background (LLB) will be an advantage. 3-5 years working experience in the field of Forensic investigations is a pre-requisite. Has a detailed knowledge of the financial services industry, criminal law, labour law and specific technical requirements. At least 2 years’ Forensic experience in working in a corporate environment is essential. At least 2 years’ experience in claims assessment and/or investigations (funeral, life&disability) will be advantageous. Must have great report writing skills and be proficient in Excel and Word. Engages on the right level to obtain business context during investigation.
