Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsperson to join a dynamic engineering team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical drawings and designs from specifications provided by engineers. You will utilize your technical skills to ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Convert engineering sketches and specifications into detailed design and working drawings. Create general arrangement drawings for piping and equipment. Prepare isometric drawings for pipework. Develop equipment layouts based on engineering specifications or conceptual drawings. Ensure all drawings meet company standards and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards, statutes, and design codes. Verify the dimensional accuracy of all produced work. Conduct site measurements for equipment, buildings, and structures as needed. Assess drafting requirements weekly, prioritize work packages (consulting with the Operations Director when necessary), and allocate appropriate drafting resources. Ensure that all drawings leaving the office are high-quality, complete, accurate, and in line with company standards. Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by management. Adhere to the company's HR policies and procedures. Requirements Knowledge: Post-matric draughting qualification or equivalent experience. At least two years of experience in a technical drawing office, specifically with mechanical and piping drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Solid understanding of the engineering environment. Familiarity with relevant standards and design codes. Experience in a petrochemical drawing office or a similar field. Skills: Meticulous attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Capability to work independently as well as a team player.
