What you can expect The incumbent will be responsible for supporting Site Management in developing and implementing effective control measures (including precious metals), ensuring license to operate in collaboration with key functions and external legal team, and driving cross-functional projects in alignment with local and regional stakeholders. Duties will include the following: Identify risks in local processes and operations (governance, legal or control measures) and missing policies Develop and implement effective control measures for the site with a focus on high risk areas (precious metals) in alignment with central policies and adapted to the specific local needs Generally oversee and drive PGM risk management Improve local policies (e.g. signing policy) based on identified risks and implemented control measures and create a clear process for future changes or reviews Coordinate local policy update as part of incorporation of own legal entity in close alignment with department heads and central (corporate requirements) responsible Act as link between central departments of BASF Catalysts, EMEA and BASF Catalysts South Africa and ensure alignment of general site policies, control measures and projects with central guidelines Develop mid-term strategy for the site in collaboration with site manager Drive cross-functional projects on site, such as e.g. a coordinated access control system Support management team in preparation of internal & external audits Coordinate B-BBEE measures of BASF Catalysts South Africa in collaboration with relevant departments, external partners and BASF Holdings South Africa Support site management in ensuring license to operate and coordinate alignment between central BASF legal department, external legal consultants and site management What we expect Masters in Business Administration Minimum 6 years experience in Business and Risk Management Profound knowledge of precious metals controlling Proficient in the use of MS Office We offer Responsibility from day one in a challenging work environment and on-the-job training as part of a committed team.
