FUNCTION: LOSS PREVENTION ENGINEER DISCIPLINE: HSE LOCATION: DOHA, QATAR PROJECT: NFPS3 DURATION: CONTRACT (RENEWABLE) SALARY: MARKET RELATED ________________________________________________ Our international client is looking for a LOSS PREVENTION ENGINEER to execute Technical Safety design activities and prepare documents for the safety and reliability of the projects based in DOHA, QATAR. JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform activities complying with project costs, time, objectives and contractual requirements. Bid projects: Provide the referent Lead with computations, simulations and preparation of Technical Safety deliverables necessary to develop the technical proposal. Support the referent Lead in bidding activities, including also manhours and costs estimation. Executive projects: Support the referent Lead in reviewing contractual documents and the documents produced during the bidding phase. Produce/maintain technical documentation within his field of activity. Participate in interdisciplinary checks of documents for his field of activity. According to his field of activity, tasks to be performed can include the following: Prepare the documents for the hazardous area classification. Prepare the documents passive for fire protection (fireproofing), fire and gas detection systems and safety signs. Prepare the layout drawings for safety equipment location and escape routes. Perform the design basis and characterization of the firefighting protection systems and prepare relevant documents. Execute the hydraulic calculation for the fire water network. Participate in safety-related workshops (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc.). QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Accredited bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
