Description Our prominent client in the FMCG sector based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ an experienced Logistics Coordinator. A wonderful career opportunity awaits you.Minimum requirements:Grade 12 or NQF level 4 qualification.National Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ or Degree in Logistics. (Non-negotiable)5+ years working experience.ERP or MRP Experience added advantage.Experience in imports and freight forwarding is essential.Ability to interact in an effective manner with all levels of the organization.Good written and communication skills in English / Afrikaans.Knowledge of Evolution software.High levels of initiative, plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:Responsible to capture and process the latest forecast in the MRP system on receipt for various plants.Responsible to calculate order requirement for packaging material and raw material to suit the forecast and orders / for factories.Management of importing suppliers (ordering, managing, and tracking).responsible for the receiving / distribution and booking in / out of all raw materials, packaging, and finished product if applicable.Responsible for the off-loading checks of all raw materials and packaging according to the receiving vehicle hygiene inspection at Company store.Keeping all stock live and up to date on Evolution is an added advantage.Responsible for inventory control of the store.Responsible for stocktaking at month end of the store.Availability when required after hours for issuing and loading raw material / finish product.Responsible for managing the stores forklift driver and truck driver.Generate and action inter-company transfers.Responsible representative for warehouse audits – internal and external audits.Manage and maintain good hygiene practices as well as health and safety requirements in line with GMP and food safety standards for the Company Store.Appropriate training of all store staff (on the job), e.g. GMP, hold and release, stock management, health, and safety practices.Responsible to enter accurate daily manufacturing figures.Responsible to submit raw and packaging material orders for processing within the required lead-time.Responsible to follow up with raw material suppliers and packaging suppliers regarding on-time delivery and outstanding orders.Responsible to complete daily inventory checks by walkabout.Responsible to submit all delivery notes to the accounts department for delivery raw material and packaging.Provides the daily production outputs.Responsible for the daily production planning in coordination with the Production Supervisor / Operations Manager to suit the forecast or customer requirement.
