Position: Business Analyst Reporting to: Research and Development ManagerLocation: Waltloo, PretoriaWe are looking for a Business Analyst who will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our product’s. Analysing and improving exiting processes, analysing data and providing presentable process documentation and reports to management. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient solutions.Minimum Requirements:Relevant Diploma / Bachelor’s degree for business analysis.Five or more years of experience in analytics, systems development, process documentation and reports.Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.Solid understanding of real-time operating systems, software-hardware interaction.Ability to read datasheets and technical specifications.Experience with testing and validation methodologies for hardware and firmware is a plus.Key Performance Areas: (not totally inclusive)Have a full understanding of the products.Partner with stakeholders across business units to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams.Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation.Have a basic understanding of all the hardware, software and firmware that the product is made up of.Keep up to date product specifications for knowledge sharing between project teams and requirements reuse.Assist in the development of new products by working closely with engineers, and other technical team members.Understand all the business rules.Maintain all documentation related to the product/s.Be able to interface with customers and senior management.Manage the change control for the product/s.Analyse customer patterns and habits to determine which products are most likely to be successful in the marketplace.Monitor and ensure consistency across products.Core CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, reliability, and efficiency.Experience with testing and validation methodologies for hardware and firmware is a plus.Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards for electronic products is desirable.Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independent and part as a team.Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines.Able to work effectively in a complicated environment with minimal management guidance/supervision.Any other tasks given by management.Ability to multi-task and prioritize work schedules.Skills AnalyticalCommunicationCritical thinkingDiplomacyLeadership and team buildingChange managementProject managementPersuasion and influencingJudgement and decision makingService orientationWe reserve the right not to make an appointment to any advertised position.Whilst preference is given to existing employees at all times and the choice made purely on merit, Historically Disadvantaged Candidates and Disabled Candidates are encouraged and supported in the FSG team.
