The ADvTECH Schools Division leads the private sector in the field of education, contributing meaningfully towards the sustainable development of human capacity in South Africa. Duties Required : To manage all financial functions; The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the financial wellbeing of the Brand/Brands and Brand profitability Managing governance, risk analyses and reports monthly and annual results Prepare forecasts and projections, quarterly and communicate same to MD Effects cost savings and participates in strategic financial planning and the achievement of targets and budgets Advise and supports Brand MD, School Principals and other Managers in the Brand on financial matters during the budget compilation process, including *** budgeting and planning. Ensure relevant information is gathered from Principals and GSS and prepares the Brand financial plan, annually, for approval by the MD Compile the annual budget/s for the Brand and update this as required Review monthly MANCO report Implement an appropriate financial reporting and cash flow management plan to support the achievement of the brand strategy. Review GL recons for all accounts within their brand and produce a risk analysis and action report Manages BEEE reporting for Brand to AdvTech Ensure employment equity targets are achieved Monitor and track performance against budget and laisse with Principals in this regard Monitor cash flow, weekly and advise Brand MD and Principals accordingly Manage variances in actual vs. budget expenditure in all areas of accountability Provide strategic financial insight and focus for the Divisional CFO; Ensure the development and professional operation of the systems infrastructure To be involved in mergers, acquisitions and disposals of companies Keep abreast of developments/trends in economy and advises Brand MD accordingly Ensure that adequate policies and procedures are in place to mitigate risks, prevent fraud, ensure compliance to legislative, regulatory and good governance requirements and standards Oversee the audit process (Internal and external) and provides relevant information and support to auditors as required. Deals with queries as necessary, and escalates matters when required Ensure staff roles and responsibilities are clarified and performance objectives set and monitored. Conduct performance reviews in accordance with policy and procedure and take corrective action as required Liaise with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms&conditions of service Competencies required: Leadership; Project Management; Problem Solving Skills; Attention to detail and accuracy; Excellent computer skills; Ability to work under pressure; Enthusiastic, energetic, assertive and flexible; Good written and verbal communication skills Qualifications : Minimum requirement is B Com with completed Articles or a CA (SA).
