Job Purpose The Department of the Infrastructure, Western Cape Government have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the sub-component in order to provide an effective and efficient salary deduction system and payment system in respect of purchase, payables transfers and donations. Management in this regard is the control, organizing, decision making, quality assurance and mentoring of staff which have a positive influence on the organization. Minimum Requirements An appropriate 3-year B-Degree /equivalent or higher qualification; A minimum of 3 years' relevant management level experience . Recommendation A valid Code B driving licence; Working experience in a financial environment. Key Performance Areas Maintain salary deductions processes; Administer creditor accounts; Maintain payment process; Regulatory, policy, governance frameworks and tactical advice; Oversight bodies, committees and forums; Operational management of the Sub-component. Competencies Knowledge of the following: Government policies and procedure (Public Finance Management Act and circulars); Modified Cash Standards. Skills in the following: Communication (written and verbal); Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Leadership; problem solving and decision making. Remuneration All-inclusive salary package of R 849 702 per annum (Salary level 11). Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements. Notes Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests.
