Requirements: Post graduate Degree / DiplomaUp to 8 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 5 years operational leadership/ specialist experience.Exceptional communication skills- internal and externalPrevious experience in budgeting, forecasting and Management accounts.Ability to work in a pressurized environment whilst diligently performing daily tasks and meeting deadlines.Computer literate: Microsoft Office, publisher, PowerPoint etcStrong admin skills as well as a good distribution / operational skillGood managerial and communication skillsGood knowledge and strong commitment to Health & Safety Duties and Responsibilities:Managing staff and overseeing daily business operations in a warehouse environment.Ensure adequate staffing and motivation levels of personnel in each operation under his or her management.The Operations Manager will report to and support the Group’s Head of Production & Operations to determine daily, monthly, and annual production & operational strategies and to ensure the implementation thereof.Responsible for Daily and monthly production planning.Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the daily production output, downtime and plant availability and daily technical and strategic support to each operationDeveloping and implementing growth strategies.To drive optimal productivity and goal achievement to determine opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.Support and facilitate interaction between each operation and the sales & logistics services to ensure sufficient stock levels, product availability and timely order fulfilment.Oversee operational costs and controls to ensure cost-effectiveness of each operation.Strong focus on customer service and communication.Accountable for general administrative duties and to complete and submit all necessary paperwork, and reports on time.Ensuring product qualitySupport and facilitate interaction between each operation and the Groups centralized financial, supply chain and sales & logistics services to ensure timeous deliveries of raw materials and manufactured products.Training - ensure training needs are planned and met to maximise production and alignment with SDL.Accurately compile and analyse daily production line reports on time.Evaluate and categorize all downtime occurring during a shift.Engage in regular staff meetings to communicate, motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the warehouse to ensure productivity as well as discipline of staff if required.Ensure staff understand and align themselves with their job descriptions.Establishing and monitoring employee working schedules, overtime, and standby allowance.Evaluating performance and productivity of staff.Resolving inventory management concerns.Analyze financial data and create business plans.Creating and monitoring department budgets.Improving revenue.Researching and identifying growth opportunities.Generating reports and giving presentations.Prepare performance reports and deliver feedback on performance-related issues.Analyze the weekly direct cost variance report and reconcile previous production performance standardEnsure and maintain regular housekeepingManage and present KPI’s at monthly management meetings. Report on achievements, challenges, volumes, efficiencies, and opportunities.Ensure that all prescribed Safety and Operational procedures and rules are adhered to.#J-18808-Ljbffr
