Spouses and partners of existing staff members are also encouraged to apply.The Department of Residential Operationsinvite suitably qualified candidates to join their team.Main ObjectivesTo work closely with the Director to provide effective and efficient personal administrative, project and organisational support which will enable the Director to effectively serve the University in the execution of responsibilities, duties, tasks and to meet strategic objectives as well as to provide administrative and front-line service to the Office of the Director, Residential Operations Managers and other groups requiring services of the Residential Operations Division. The RequirementsA B. Degree/Diploma (NQF level 7) plus 4 years relevant experience where such experience includes: -At least 1 year should be working with an individual at a senior level (e.g., HoDs, Directors, Hall Wardens or a middle manager).At least 3 years previous administrative experience within a computerised environment where planning, co-ordinating and executing administrative processes and where the job required a high degree of multi-tasking.Previous experience in assisting with the planning, co-ordination and executing of projects or events.Administrative experience within a university and/or large scale operational/service orientated environment will be an advantage.Previous experience handling queries (staff, members of the public etc.)Application processIt is essential that prospective candidates read the job profile for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.The following documents are required:A comprehensive CV and relevant qualifications which should include the following: -Reasons for leaving your current and previous jobs.Referees who are and/or were your direct line manager, their title, name, designation and contact information which should be at least their contact number and email address.A strong and succinct motivation which tells us your interest in the post and suitability relative to the job requirements.Please note, no hand-written applications will be considered.
