Successful kinesiology-related ventures in a competitive climate require a foundation of business and management skills that are framed within the health industry and professional standards. In this course, students will learn about kinesiology as a business, project management and entrepreneurial strategy. Business models and strategies will be discussed within the context of kinesiology professional standards with an emphasis on relevant codes and regulations. This course will be delivered in lectures, facilitated by partner and group activities using problem and case-based learning approaches  Sessional dates of appointment: January 1, 2025 - April 31, 2025  Minimum Qualifications: PhD preferred in a relevant area, or combination of relevant expertise and experience. Registration as a Kinesiologist and teaching experience in college or university setting is an asset.   Preferred Qualifications: Over and above the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to individuals with prior graduate teaching experience in this area.  Description of duties: All duties associated with the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to the course, if applicable.
