A leading business process outsourcing company who provides end to end secure and dependable administration solutions is looking to employ an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for the management, administration and support of network, servers, and related IT Infrastructure.The successful candidate will have a relevant IT degree or diploma with at least 8 years of Network administration experience in the areas of design, implementation, capacity planning, and maintenance.This hands-on role requires in-depth knowledge of servers, networks and other dependent hardware to ensure that the software applications required for on-going operations are adequately supported.Functional areas include:• Servers and Storage• Network and Security• Telephony• Desktop• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning• People• Information SecurityRequisite Qualifications, Experience and Know-How.Qualifications and Experience:• Matric.• Postgraduate degree / diploma or similar.• Relevant certification (examples: VMWare (VCP), HyperV (MCP), MCSE, MCSD, Exchange.• At least 8 years of Network administration in the areas of design, implementation, capacity planning, maintenance.• Working experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, VCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations.• Experience with Networking problem determination, capacity planning and root cause analysis.• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.• Working experience with vmware systems administration and support.• Working experience with Microsoft Exchange administration and support.• Working experience with Fortigate and Sonicwall Firewall products.• Working experience with HP Switching.Skills & Competencies & Know-How/Knowledge.• Extensive Firewall Knowledge.• Understanding VPN and Networking.• Extensive Knowledge of WAN environments.• Extensive Backup Support knowledge.• Microsoft Exchange 2016, 2019 and Office 365 implementation, configuration.• Storage management and SAN configuration.• Azure AVD and Services installation and configuration.• Web hosting administration.• Extensive DNS Knowledge.• Manage infrastructure staff members.• Maintenance and support of the hardware supporting the telephony servers.• Management and support of the telephony systems with telephony partners.• Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.• Proactive self-starter – attend to immediate needs as well as planning for future growth Self-motivated who takes initiative and works well in a team environment with the ability to meet deadlines.• Good verbal and written communication skills.• Flexibility: the ability to adjust quickly to rapid change with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work well under pressure.• Team player: ability to communicate with both users and IT team members.• Time management: ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task.• Efficient, structured and organised.• Customer experience awareness.• Training and mentoring: must be willing to share knowledge with team members and facilitate knowledge transfer.• Extensive information security knowledge and expertise.
