Sales Consultant – Surgical Devices | Port Elizabeth Port Elizabeth, South Africa | Posted on 04/22/2024 Responsible for the sales of Laparoscopy,Urology&Endoscopy products, including maintaining and growing existingbusiness and expanding of sales within the assigned territory. Scheduling and attendingappointments with existing and potential customers. Demonstration of products toClinical personnel. Completion of weekly planner andactivity report for submission to direct manager. Achieving Sales Targets. Responsible for networking withand development of relationships with new customers and managing existing customers. Counting and Management ofconsignment stock. Requesting and following up on quotations. General Administration associatedwith the position. All activities to be recorded on Force ManagerCRM Duties&Responsibilities: Marketing : Assist the National Productmanager with Journal clubs, workshops/ VISTA meetings and various conferencesas needed. Assist the Sales managers with theSales budgeting per territory for the SBU. Effective implementation oftactical and strategic plans. Effective marketing activitiesincluding congresses and customer workshops and educational events. Daily calls to customers and new prospects. Effective promotion of allproducts offered by our Client. Sales Knowledge to allow foreffective selling of product features and benefits. Evaluation, analyses and report onCompetitors’ products, drive strategies and driving appropriate businessresponses. Customer Relations: Establish a network with thestakeholders in the Hospitals: Physicians and Key Opinion Leaders. Build and maintain strongrelations with all stakeholders, including customers, payers, government, andemployees in representing our full line of products and services. Attending to appointments withCustomers and prospects. Report to Sales Managers whenneeded with existing and potential customers. Gather customer requirements incooperation with Sales managers to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist when needed with Successfulcongresses and training workshops. Manage relationships with allcustomers, prospects and key opinion leaders where needed. Maintain good relations andcommunication with internal customers i.e., Customer Services, Finance Department,Logistics and Management. Utilizing customer profiling andmapping tools to grow product families according to customer needs but in linewith our business strategy and focus products. Assist with Identifying thecorrect customers to attend product training to ensure an ROI. Sales Reports and Administration: Achieve monthly and quarterlysales budgets for the SBU. Achieve annual sales budgets per SBU. Assist where needed to attend toDaily Ariba/Trade world, tender input, and quote requests. Expense claims handed in on timeas per the schedule received from Finance with correct cost allocations. Monthly reports to the SalesManager submitted before 5th of the month. Weekly call reports and Weeklycall planners to be recorder on Force Manager and to be sent to the Sales Manager. Compliance with regulatory SOP’s,SA Regulations and Code of Business Ethics. Maintain the Company’s ethicalposition. Effectively communicate and manage Company business conduct policies. Maintain a high level ofmotivation to ensure marketing function is well implemented. Preparation and conducting ofpresentations at Sales Consultants’- and management-meetings. Assist Sales Managers with productqueries and/or technical/clinical application information. Manage your portfolio by living the companyvalues. Training Events: Identify and implement educationalevents for customers to achieve growth. Manage the implementation ofworkshop activities with sales team and customers. Train new customers on the rangeof products as set out by your manager. Assist with Identifying workshopsand educational events that will deliver a ROI and result in product growth. Participate in company businessand sales meetings and provide input to management. Attend and assist when needed forplanning of all congresses identified. Reports: Adhere to credit policies andprocedures of the group. Maintain all administrativeresponsibilities associated with this position, monthly reporting on marketingactivities. Ensure all product and marketingactivities comply with legal and ethical standards. Managing all company expenseswithin the marketing budget provided. Adhere to any legal or medicalrequirements and inform management of changed requirements. Submit monthly report to seniormanagement and record all activities on Force Manager CRM. Assist with Stock rotation andslow-moving identification and returns. Assist Sales Managers with inputfrom the field on stock ordering and give feedback on stock requirements fromthe field. Management of consignment stockallocated to customers on request from Sales Managers. Management of boot stock allocatedto yourself and rotation of stock when needed to reduce unnecessary expirationof products Should a procedural kit procedurebe implemented in the SBU – the responsibility of managing this and evaluatingthe effectiveness of it remains your responsibility. Give effective feedback to Management onConsignment stock. Requirements Education and Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric) is a minimum requirement. A relevant degree or diploma is anadvantage. Any medical-management or-marketing qualification would be a definite advantage. Skills and Experience: Theatre-based selling experience is essential. Laparoscopy  and Emergency Medical Devices product knowledge would be an advantage. Advanced planning andorganizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of marketing analysis,practices, strategies, planning. Strong analytical, organizationaland decision-making skills. Strong understanding of businessand financial drivers. Strong influencing skills topresent new ideas promoting collaboration and generate buy-in. Ability to work independently andas a team member, while using discretion in decision making and sound judgmentin problem solving. Demonstrated follow-through,initiative, attention to detail and drive for continuous improvement. Ability to work well underpressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude. Ability to work effectively in ateam environment and build strong working relationships. Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment and meet deadlines. Ability to travel extensively inthe country and when needed to travel abroad. Knowledge of the sales processthat supports marketing activities, with the ability to understand&interpret customer needs using fact-finding to identify sales opportunities. Proficient in Microsoft Office –specially Excel at an advanced level and PowerPoint and Outlook. Integrity, responsive, highcommitment.
