The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit risk, establishing credit policies, and ensuring timely collection of payments. This role requires both a graduate-level education and relevant experience in credit management.Responsibilities:1. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to mitigate credit risk and optimize cash flow.2. Manage a team of credit controllers, providing leadership, guidance, and support.3. Review and approve credit applications and credit limits for new and existing customers.4. Conduct regular credit reviews and assessments to evaluate customer creditworthiness.5. Monitor customer accounts and aging reports to identify overdue balances and implement appropriate collection strategies.6. Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent customers as needed.7. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to address customer disputes and resolve billing issues.8. Analyze financial data and credit reports to assess credit risk and make informed decisions.9. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to credit management and debt collection.10. Prepare regular reports and analysis on credit management performance and trends.Requirements:1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.2. Proven experience in credit management, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.3. Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.5. Thorough understanding of credit management principles and best practices.6. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.7. Ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports and forecasts.8.
