Inputs Coordinator (Organic Agriculture) Ecocert South Africa was established in 2002 and manages the ECOCERT client base in 16 countries across Southern- and East Africa. Our offices are situated in Paardevlei, Somerset West with 35 young and energetic permanent- and 30 freelance employees. Our services are currently focused on sustainable certification, including organic, fair trade and Rainforest Alliance. Somerset West, South Africa Customer relations Permanent Organic agriculture Job descriptionWe are hiring an Organic Inputs Coordinator to start as soon as possible, based in Somerset West. You will report directly to the General Manager. The position will mainly involve the management of our organic agricultural inputs attestation- and documentary review services, that mainly includes fertilisers and crop protection products for use in organic agriculture.Your tasksYou will be responsible to carry out the following duties:Approval Officer function Review agricultural inputs for use in organic agriculture according to EU, NOP and JAS standardsUpdate of information in the Ecocert inputs databas Sales Officer funtion Business development for the Inputs Business UnitReview of applications and issuance of quotations (new clients and renewals) Review of annual pricing policy Client Relationship Officer function Ensure creation of client profiles and completion by client Be the main contact for all Inputs service clients and communicate important information Follow-up of corrective actions after report submission Allocate auditors and follow-up of report deadlines Certification Decision Officer function  Review reports and take decisions on the issuance of attestations and documentary reviewsProfile Education: BSc, BScAgri, Chemistry or similar tertiary qualificationAny inputs related certificates like AVCASA will be beneficial Language: Multilingual (English and Afrikaans) both spoken and written  Technical skills:  Interest and understanding of ingredients, chemical elements, microorganisms and their functions in agricultureHigh level of computer literacy – confident MS Office userIndependent and self-motivatedHonest and trustworthySelf-confidentOrganized to the point of perfectionWilling and eager to self-learnKeen interest in sustainability What’s in it for you? Remuneration: Market related salary, dependent on experience and qualifications Type of contract: Permanent (6-month probation) Benefits: 60% medical aid contribution (after probation), life- and disability insurance (after 12 months). Partial remote working is part of the current company policies.
