The Letting Office of SunCom currently has a vacancy for a Legal Secretary / Paralegal Practitioner (named Administrative Officer within the SunCom structure) who will primarily be responsible for the administration of all lease documentation.Responsibilities:Lease administration: filing, monitoring the expiration of lease agreements and notifying on renewals / expirationsBilling and payments: letting, advertising spaces, promotions, activations, and keeping accurate records of the amounts owed by tenants and clientsDeposits: ensuring that payment of deposits is received and reconciled before a rental agreement is finalisedRental property compliance: ensuring that all rental properties have the necessary certificationOffice management: letting, advertising spaces, promotions and activationsParking: activating tenants on the SUNid system in order to give them access to parkingMaintenance administration: referring complaints to relevant persons within a reasonable time and ensuring that complaints are resolvedQueries: attending to all visitor and tenant queriesManagement Assistance: assisting the Letting Office Manager with his/her administration functionSwitchboard: managing the letting office switchboardSelf-management and developmentRequirementsA national diploma (NQF Level 6) qualifying as a legal secretary or paralegal practitioner with at least 3 years' experience as a legal assistant, OR: a higher certificate (NQF Level 5) qualifying as a legal secretary or paralegal practitioner with at least 5 years' experience as a legal assistantAt least 2 years’ experience in dealing with commercial property leasing and contractsAt least 2 years' experience in office administrationKnowledge of legal requirements for leasingA working knowledge of legal complianceComputer skills (MS Office)Excellent language and communication skills (English minimum requirement; Afrikaans proficiency will be advantageous)A valid Code 8 driver's license
