Apply now and take the first step towards a fulfilling journey with Apex Group, a global financial services provider with over 13, 000 employees worldwide.Role location: Cape Town, MowbrayDepartment: MarketingEmployment Type:Fixed Term – 10 months.The role andkey responsibilities: Content planning and approvalsManage the thought-leadership content schedule Ensure social media content meets the requirements outlined in the brief submitted by stakeholdersManage content approvals from our sport sponsorship stakeholdersDevelop website content briefs with stakeholders and oversee the approval workflowEngage the operations and analytics teams about what content works and align with content strategySupport the Content Manager with ensuring content requests are managed through agreed content SLAs Content creationSupport in the content creation process across a variety of channels, coordinating closely with the Content Manager and Head of Content Attend local industry events and post live to social media, while also capturing content for post event blogsCapture stakeholder feedback in drafted contentPerform proof-reading and ensure all content is in accordance with our tone of voice guidelinesResearch credible references for contentWork with the SEO manager to ensure content is in line with strategy and gains maximum exposure Work with external agencies as required on content production, briefings, and proofing Support our web-bot initiative by working with our vendor to update bot copy as requiredRepurpose existing content to maximise content value and longevity – finding ways to update it, and/or turn it into new forms of content such as infographics etc. Provide ad-hoc support to the broader marketing team in developing and delivering effective content Content deliveryUpload thought-leadership content to our websitesEnsure content is produced in a timely manner and meet deadlinesUpload thought-leadership content to our internal channelsSkills required:The successful candidate will have:A min 7 years in a content or communications role – preferably within financial servicesDemonstrable ability to write engaging and well-structured copyExcellent writing skills and attention to detailYou will need experience in and a passion for creating content, both written and visual, that supports our brand awareness and lead generation effortsDegree educated - ideally in English, business, communications, marketing, or journalismExceptional written and verbal communications skills, with excellent levels of EnglishAble to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to think creativelyAbility to delve into technical content and translate it into engaging and thought-provoking messagesExcellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships across geographies and levelsHighly organised and able to work in a fast-paced environmentAn interest in financial servicesExperience in Microsoft office tools is a must-haveWhat you will get in return:A high level of visibility within a large organisation on an upwards trajectoryThe ability to define marketing processes to drive innovation and have a tangible impact on the businessBe part of a dynamic and fast-paced team that makes a genuine impact on revenue and sales pipeline.Exposure to all aspects of the business, cross-jurisdiction and to working with senior management directly.Opportunity to work with a diverse, agile, and global marketing team.The opportunity to innovate, instil discipline in brand activities, and really make a difference.Reporting structure The Content Specialist will report to the Head of Content.Additional information:We are an equal opportunityemployer and ensure that no applicant is subject to less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, responsibilities for dependants, physical or mental disability.
