These jobs were popular with other job seekersPosition Purpose:The Service Technician is required to support all Technical Service Functions in the Eastern Cape and bordering provinces. This will include but not limited to Fault-finding/troubleshooting & Repairs on all company equipment. Maintaining strong customer relations is essential. High efficiency is required in call out turnaround times and in completing technical assessments, services & repairs to improve on customer satisfaction and maximize customer retention.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirement list below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Achieve sales targets through sales of spare parts, preventative maintenance contracts & assessment services.Plan country trips to outline areas for the purpose of conducting assessments, repairs, and attending to service related queries.Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customersService & repair company equipment to full working capacity.Planning and execution of all service backordersSchedule and attend service calloutsFill in and complete job cards for any service repairs, warranties or labour jobs completedIn-service training and product education on all products in the marketPromote extended warranties, Service level agreements and planned preventative maintenance plansKeep a strong follow up on all open quotesKeep up to date with company product knowledgeData capturing and record keeping of assessmentsAccurately diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in a timeous mannerMaintain high levels of service and technical support to all customersAdequate stock control management for planned repairs and services.Complete warranty repairs and provide inspection reports to QRCComplete field actions or as required by the quality teamMaintain and follow up on warranty processors and procedures for all intended repairs.Assist with service related queries at hospitals and customer sites.Assist with in-house service related queries and requirementsService & repair equipment to meet customer expectations.Maintain company vehicle in good condition.Keep daily records on vehicle mileage and route plannersAdhere to safety protocols and quality standards on all company products.Qualification (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage.Aftersales knowledge, Strong technical and mechanical mindsetBasic computer literacy skills in MS Excel and Outlook.Valid driver’s license (Code 08/EB) and PDP would be an advantage.Ability to work independently.
