If that sounds appealing, we think you would feel inspired on our team to achieve and be rewarded for extraordinary results.OUR MISSIONPlan and execute events that exceed customer expectations pursuant to Miller Tanner Associates (MTA) standards.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Key Account Manager, Congresswill focus on managing several key existing MTA customer relationships for Congress event planning services, including proposal management and revenue growth within these strategic accounts. This position will also focus on driving revenue growth of MTA Congress business through prospecting efforts to increase customer diversification, as well as selling expanded products and services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Establish productive and professional trust relationships with assigned customer(s)• Serve as the key link of communication between existing customer(s) and the internal teams• Play an integral part in generating new connections within existing customers that will result in long-lasting relationships • Expand relationships within existing customer(s) by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives• Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer(s) needs on an ongoing basis• Resolve issues and problems faced by customer(s) and deal with complaints and concerns to maintain customer trust• Lead solution based efforts that best address customer(s) needs and coordinate the involvement of appropriate MTA team members when necessary• Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities• Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales, potential sales, and areas of proposed current customer expansion utilizing internal sales resources and systems• Work closely with the Proposals department and the other sales department members to ensure consistent communication of customer needs, timely proposal responses, RFI submissions and financial terms• Build relationships internally to support sales and marketing activities and execute collaborative approaches when appropriate, leading to increased sales• Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image at all times• Increase business with existing customer(s) through education and demonstration of new products and services offered by the company• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system• Track and record activity customer accounts in order to meet customer specific annual goals• Assist in achieving or surpassing annual targeted marginable sales and revenues for the companyResponsible for following all MTA policies and procedures related to security controls for the protection of personal or sensitive data and all confidential information; personal and sensitive data is defined as such by GDPR; confidential information is defined as all data, documents, or materials, in any form or medium, provided to the company that could reasonably be expected to be proprietary to a customer or sponsor; confidential information includes, but is not limited to, any information concerning or relating to the property, products, technology, business and affairs of that customer or sponsor• Provide recommendations for improvements of MTA security controls• Other duties as assignedEDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE• Bachelors degree in sales, marketing or business administration• Three to five (3-5) years of experience as an account manager in a sales department• Experience within the pharmaceutical and/or meeting planning industry preferred• Three to five (3-5) years of experience of Congress event planning sales and/or operational management• Fluency in other languages a plus • Experience with Salesforce a plusSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills• Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills• Microsoft Office Suite/ PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) • Strong working knowledge of Excel• Highly organized • Strongly self-disciplined• Thrives in a virtual team environment• Attention to detail• Problem solver• Ability to work across multiple time zones and relate to diverse cultures**This role is eligible for commission**#J-18808-Ljbffr
