We are currently looking for a skilled Shaft and Winder Fitter to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our mining facilities. Job Responsibilities: - Inspect, maintain, and repair shafts and winding equipment in accordance with established maintenance schedules - Monitor the performance of shafts and winders, identify any issues or defects, and take corrective actions as needed - Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, adjustments, and replacements on shaft and winder components - Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and resolve technical problems - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and practices while working on shafts and winding equipment - Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed Requirements: - Trade qualification as a Fitter and Turner or similar mechanical discipline - Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Fitter in a mining environment, with specific experience in shaft and winder maintenance - Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems commonly found in mining shafts and winders - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team - Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Willingness to work in a remote location and adhere to rotational shift schedules Benefits: Salary: R1m - R1.1m Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
