Join us in shaping the future of retail software technology and make a significant impact o Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and career development. o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap, aligning with business objectives and customer needs. o Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team. o To build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to address business needs and drive implementation of relevant industry best practices. o Provide technical guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget. o Provides technical leadership ensuring team is aligned and delivers to the software engineering strategy, patterns and standards that respect compliance, security, operational best practice, and best possible user experience. o Drives developer training plans and on-boarding to ensure relevant and up to date digital development skills are available. o Collaborates with the leadership team to set development technologies, architectures, coding standards and processes that enable a speed with quality agile delivery culture. o Manage issues with appropriate urgency which includes resolution and communication with stakeholders in conjunction with the support procedures. o Leads by example and is able to get into the technical details of the development landscape when needed. o Understand the IT and Business strategy and translate into a one-year systems operating plan. o Stay abreast of technological advancements and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications – NQF8 level in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with experience in software development. 5 -10 years software development experience (C#, .Net, .NET Core, Python, Java) 2 years as a Solution Architect. Minimum 2 years people management 3 to 5 years working in a lead or management role. ADDITIONAL CRITERIA Tech savvy - Anticipates and adopts innovations in business-building digital and technology applications. Action oriented - Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. Communicates effectively - Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling you to influence change within an enterprise environment.
