The position is available in the component rebuild centre, where components of yellow equipment brands are rebuilt, including engines, transmissions, differentials and torque converters.The successful candidate will be familiar with the general workflow and process from a technical and administrative point of view.Full spectrum involvement from when the component arrives to when the component is finished and delivered.Assist and advise manager on the workflow being current jobs quoted awaiting go ahead, current jobs in progress, jobs completed and tested, jobs ready for delivery.Send out and follow up on all outwork i.e. engineering blocks, cranks, heads etc.Assist in preparing quotations to customers.Ordering of parts and services required to complete components.Follow up on parts and outwork for jobs awaiting such to be completed (and taking into account how this effects the effective work flow)Assist the technicians with compiling of parts lists during strip and quote process (knowledge of how to use SIS important)Follow up with customers on receipt of customers if all good including return from customer of the commissioning reports and warranty conditions.Integration with the sales department on sales leads related to components.Matric.Suitable tertiary qualification/trade is advantageous. Our client will consider candidates qualified for the position by experience.A minimum of 8 – 10 years' experience in a similar industry and position.Highly organised with strong attention to detail.Understanding of the components of the powertrain associated with earthmoving equipmentSalary is R60 000 CTC per month.
