This executive role leads and develops technology infrastructure, eliminates security risks, increases customer and user satisfaction. This individual guides development and Innovation to be a market differentiator. The Head of IT is a key senior position, with responsibility for providing strategic leadership on the effective, efficient and secure delivery and use of information technology to support the business of the Assembly and of the Assembly Commission. As Head of IT you will be responsible for the delivery of a wide range of IT services to approximately 1,000 users. You will have the opportunity to shape and deliver modern technology solutions to support users through the provision of secure, resilient and fit for purpose technology. You will lead the IT function and will work with the Senior Management Team to align technology-related decisions with the Corporate Strategy, ensuring that systems are secure, stable and robust. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, impactful leader who will lead a customer-focussed function that will contribute positively to the delivery of high-quality services. You will need to have a well-developed knowledge of technology solutions, a strong customer ethos and a proven ability to work both at a strategic and operational level. You will hold or have held significant, high-level accountability for mission critical IT systems in a large and complex organisation. Duties and Responsibilities : Leadership Makes decisions promptly and effectively by building consensus among partners, managers and employees. Engages strategic planning process to ensure smooth running IT functionality Communicates and implements vision and strategic plan. Oversees and manages resources in the areas of IT, Innovation, Development and social media. Provides leadership and guidance for the technology function Manages resources in Innovation, Infrastructure and Development, including recruitment of appropriate skills, performance management and delivery of the department Manages department budget Financial performance Supports and advises the CEO in decision making. Works with the CEO to establish a financial plan that achieve financial goals, including expenditures, revenue goals, and staff productivity goals. Prepares and manages the budget for the department and prepares forecasts Authorizes expenditures and purchases within the budget and gains approval for any expenditures outside of the budget from the CEO Technical responsibility Develops and evolves a strategy around the Application Develops and manages SMART metrics for hardware, software and storage Plans around capacity of resources Directly manages the IT department, including Innovation and Development of the Application Manages the performance of employees in the IT team Collaborates with other departments around IT requirements, customer needs and experience requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
