Job Specification The incumbent will be part of the AGRI Procurement team, who is responsible for the Agri Supply Chain of Agrimark. B Degree or equivalent6 years management experience in a procurement / agri environmentThorough understanding of the dynamics of AgricultureMust be willing to travel when necessary and to work long hours during peak times Key performance indicators The GOLD business imperatives displayed below are to be used as key indicators in sourcing competent candidates for this critical role.Growth Develop Category strategies and demand plansLead the Category team responsible for Agri Infrastructure, Mechanisation and IrrigationSupport and monitor the effective execution of the category strategies and demand plansEnsure governance excellence in the category management environment (incl. the establishment and ongoing management of supply agreements / contracts)Implementation and maintenance of E3 (Central Procurement) and SPP (Central Pricing management) and AO (Assortment Optimisation)Measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement Leveraging Culture & Diversity Establish & maintain strategic supplier relationships with suppliersStrategic negotiations with suppliers Digital Transformation Gather market intelligence by scanning the environment to keep abreast of new industry approaches & market developments in order to enhance category strategies Key leadership attributes The incumbent would need to have the ability to progress and add continuous incremental value – having impact!
