We are seeking an IT Technician for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Grade 12 with certification in IT / Diploma in IT / minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT support, system administration&networking Proxmox&Dell server management Strong knowledge of SQL database management and administration Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning Solid understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP and VPN’s Familiar with IT security Able to multitask Valid drivers The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Server management – configure, manage and maintain; depot/manage virtualized environments; server maintenance&updates Database administration – manage SDL database; ensure data integrity&security; backup strategies Troubleshooting – diagnose/resolve; technical support; document issues and resolutions Network management – maintain / monitor network infrastructure; ensure employee connectivity Security – monitor / maintain security systems; implement / enforce security protocols Documentation&reporting – accurate reports of IT infrastructure; regular IT performance reports Salary: Market related To apply email detailed CV and all supporting documentation through to bronwyn@sheldon.co.za If you have not received a response within 7 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful #J-18808-Ljbffr
