Overview: The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of client accounts holistically and to drive innovation and retention. The Account Manager will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with clients, connecting with key Business units and liaising between client and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of products and solutions according to client needs. Key Responsibilities: Operating as the lead point of contact for any matters specific to your customers. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements. Having an understanding of the customers’ system and requirements. Scoping new requirements that the customer may have and proposing the correct solution to resolve customer issues. Have regular face-to-face meetings with the customers. Stay up-to-date with product innovations and help drive Research and Development for appropriate technologies in conjunction with the Product Manager/Solution Architect. Promote new versions, service pack updates, general upgrades and new available software. Review customers’ existing systems to determine if things can be done better. Quoting customers for new work. Documenting and drive to closure identified issues for the project or support team to fix. Scoping of customer requirements. Dealing with customer escalations, system crisis’s, customer system outages or critical issues; coordinate the efforts to get these matters resolved. Assist with outstanding Debtors, removing barriers to payment. Ability to perform and deliver against individual sales targets. Conduct customer experience references. Awareness and adherence to Company policies and procedures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Sales, Commerce, or related fields is advantageous. 3-4 years of relevant sales experience (for example Software Account Management); ERP experience is advantageous. Must be very comfortable with business terminology and very good at engaging and working with people at all levels in an organisation. Travel is an essential part of this role. License / Own Vehicle required. Management skills and experience to lead and guide a team of Technical Account Managers Understanding of innovations and continuous improvement and ability to lead internal and co-innovation projects. Up-to-date understanding of latest SAP trends in Artificial Intelligence, application development and ERP systems. Key Attributes: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders at all levels. Strong management, administrative, analytical and problem-solving skills with a detailed-orientated approach to provide clear recommendations and out-of-the-box thinking. Time management, ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, specifically to liaise between company and customer. Ability to work independently and collaborate with the various business units.
