Roles and Responsibilities Restaurant Manager is responsible for: Actively reducing waste through effective stock rotation and creating specials where needed. Liaising with customers for event planning and new business development. Interacting with guests in order to build solid relationships and goodwill in the community. Dealing with customer complaints relating to food and addressing any and all issues to prevent recurrence. Ensuring General Restaurant Workers (waiters) are familiar with all aspects of the dishes and able to sell effectively to customers. Acting as direct line manager to all chefs and student chef apprentices. Ordering food and other kitchen consumables. Adherence to all applicable laws governing a professional kitchen, including acting as Health and Safety officer. Creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality. Weekly rostering of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow. Ensuring the day-to-day running of the restaurant as a whole. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and achieve business objectives. Lead a team of dedicated professionals, maintain high standards of service, and uphold the restaurant's reputation. Coordinate the entire restaurant operation, including front-of-house and back-of-house. Deliver superior guest services and ensure absolute customer satisfaction. Respond efficiently to customer complaints. Enforce and offer the best quality of products possible. Organize and supervise shifts. Maintain inventory. Track compliance with sanitation and safety rules and regulations. Control costs and cut waste. Successfully promote and publicize the brand. Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example as restaurant management. All other duties as per Restaurant Management not listed above. Salary and Benefits: A basic wage of R12 000 - R18 000 based on experience is paid on the last day of each month. Staff transport to Mamelodi area only. Daily staff meal. Coffee and tea.
