Identifying and eliminating wastages by continuous improvement projects and align these to the defined KPI’s in the plant/facility. Train and develop IE’s and work study officers / clerks in-line with recognized systems / benchmarks in industry. Ensure optimal training methodologies are applied and measured continuously. Embark on project improvement processes in the factory and report areas of improvement as part of CI process. Manage IE and work study teams in factory and ensure effective outcome-based training for IE, work study and team leaders on a continuous basis to improve efficiency. Develop accurate SAH’s (SMV’s) per product and ensure all operations, methods and machinery align to this standard. Ensure an effective measurement system is in place to measure both individual / section and factory efficiencies. Report on daily / weekly / monthly efficiencies and show graphic trends for presentation to management. Liaise daily with Senior Supervisor and Team Leaders to ensure effective line management and daily sewing plan to achieve required daily units. Weekly / monthly reporting on factory KPI’s to management team: Efficiency On Time Delivery Down Time Training and development of IE’s, work study team and production team leaders Coaching and mentoring team leaders to ensure effective use of line management techniques: Line balancing Boosting Capacity checks Ensuring and understanding of machinery and attachment required for product. Ensuring internationally recognized methods are used to benchmark for effectiveness and efficient measurement. Monthly reporting of productivity measures in respect of these benchmarks and adherence to it. Ensure training and development material are continuously aligned with current trends and related benchmarks in industry. Ensure training materials are adopted to industry norms and identifies areas of improvement and excellence achieved.
