The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and iron) and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, zinc, stainless steel, brass and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals. Our processing facilities are located in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. The Group was established 105 years ago.Key responsibilities:The following responsibilities cover the Gauteng and surrounds region. The regional manager will report to the Divisional Director of HR based in Cape Town, but will be given significant independence to manage his/her own team -Manage HR TeamManage entire recruitment programmeManage Industrial Relations processes including discipline, grievances, and CCMA casesAdvise on legislative requirements and updatesCreate reports on statistics regarding employment practicesEnsure all departments function within the policies and procedures as set out in the company manual.Consult on training requirementsQualifying experience:A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Human Capital or Industrial Psychology At least 5 years’ management experience in a medium to large company - preferably in manufacturing or allied industriesProficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and ExcelStrong interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent writing skillsTime management and organizational skillsAbility to think and organise analyticallyStrong and clear understanding of basic HR management e.g. Absentee controlBenefits Include:Provident FundLife Cover at 4 x annual salaryFuneral coverMedical aid (Hospital plan)15 days leave per annumLong service leave after five years ‘of employmentStandard hours:07h00 – 16h30 Monday – Thursday07h00 – 14h00 FridaySalary:We offer a highly competitive package depending on extent of qualifications and experience.We regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
