MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Degree or Diploma in Agriculture/ Agribusiness/ Animal Production/ Agronomy Proven experience in farm management or agricultural production Knowledge of crop cultivation, livestock management, and farm operations Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Computer literate Valid driver's license RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: In liaison with the Director, plan and execute delivery of daily, weekly and monthly targets Oversee the daily running of the farm Hiring and training of new staff and contracting services for all outsourced services Directly supervise all field workers, plant and animal, machinery operations and all technical jobs within the farm. Be the liaison between the management and the farm staff for timely execution of all the farm projects Preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations. Directing major operations at the facility such as cultivation, planting, harvesting on crops and routine maintenance practices for all animals, feed preparations, feeding and breeding. Prepare and provide a budget for all farm operations including equipment, assets and machinery repairs and maintenance. Manage cash flow, monitor the budget and prepare reports for the same over a period. Ensure compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards on the farm. Manage maintenance, repair and replacement of all farming structures, equipment and machinery. Scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery. Monitoring quantity and yield of crops and animals whilst implementing improvement strategies. Analyzing existing operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements Ensuring all company assets, equipment and machinery are used for the benefit of the company whilst managing wasteful usage Visiting the different divisions to inspect crops, livestock, and also perform routine checks on soil and water for maximum yield Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked Handling the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm like vegetables, dairy, meat, and grain when required Building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science Planning and executing long term company goals Perform any other duty assigned by the Director ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
