Job Position: Window Fitter Pay rate: £20.83 per hour Hours: 36 Location: East LondonAbout Us: Looking for an experienced and qualified Window Fitter to join our team.We prioritize excellence in building repairs and maintenance services.We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier to undertake various aspects of building repairs and maintenance, contributing to the safety and satisfaction of our residents.Key Responsibilities:Perform a wide range of building repairs, maintenance, renewals, and replacements in both occupied and void properties.Diagnose faults and building defects, applying the most effective and cost-efficient solutions.Ensure all work complies with current building regulations and standards, focusing on the safety of residents.Manage and schedule follow-on repair works that cannot be completed in the initial visit.Deliver outstanding customer service and represent our repairs service and the Council professionally.Work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative to resolve building issues and seeking guidance when necessary.Collaborate with Repairs Team Supervisors and Planners, providing regular updates on work progress to meet service objectives.Adhere to safe working practices and comply with health & safety regulations, including safeguarding, lone working, asbestos awareness, working at heights, manual handling, and COSHH.Responsible for the safekeeping and efficient use of materials, tools, and Council vehicles, ensuring minimal waste.Complete all necessary documentation and administrative tasks accurately and promptly.Interpret and work from various drawings, specifications, and instructions.Utilize new technology such as smartphones and PDAs effectively in work-related tasks.Provide on-the-job training and guidance to apprentices and trainees, supporting their development.Requirements:Proven experience as a Glazier or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of building repairs, maintenance standards, and safety regulations.Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.Good communication skills and customer service orientation.Familiarity with the use of technology in a professional context.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.#J-18808-Ljbffr
