Our client, a reputable structural and civil consulting firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in design using Prokon software, with a focus on concrete and structural steel structures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across various industries, including industrial, mining, residential, commercial, and municipal sectors.Responsibilities Design and Analysis: Perform detailed structural design and analysis for a variety of projects using Prokon software, focusing on concrete structures from foundations to roof slabs and structural steel elements including portal frames, girders, trusses, overhead cranes, and crawl beams. Project Management: Manage and oversee project phases from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, other engineers, and project managers to develop effective and efficient structural solutions. Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections to ensure that construction aligns with design specifications and quality standards. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and technical drawings. Client Interaction: Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice and solutions. Requirements A degree in Structural Engineering (BSc / BTech / BEng) is required. 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a willingness to consider candidates with more experience. Proficiency in Prokon software for structural design. Extensive design experience in concrete structures and structural steel, including but not limited to foundations, roof slabs, portal frames, girders, trusses, overhead cranes, and crawl beams. Relevant experience in industrial, mining, residential, commercial, and municipal projects is highly advantageous. Proficiency in Afrikaans is highly beneficial.
