A leading logistics company situated in KwaZulu-Natal is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.Responsibilities:General Warehouse Duties:Assist with loading and offloading of all cargo, stacking of cargo, documentation of all cargo, labelling of cartons for exports, repairing and restrapping of cargoKeep a clean work environmentMake sure photos of cargo and truck are taken as per instructionsStaff Management and Operations:The supervisor must plan accordingly as per instruction given by the Warehouse manager / assistant managerStaff must be briefed on the daily cargo that is going to be received and dispatchedFollow up on staff regularlySupervisor will be managing the storeroom and issuing of equipment and materialsSupervisor must maintain records of the stockThe supervisor will be responsible to maintain and check up on all equipment and materials and see to it that the staff do not misuse or damage equipment and materialsCoordinate activities with the other departmentsIdentify areas of improvement and establish innovative ways to encounter problemsSupervisor will assist with container inspections, inspection forms are completed and signed, etc.Safety and Other Regulations:Applying safety rules when conducting duties within the work environmentReport incidents or accidents immediately to ensure the smooth run of operationsEnsure company hygiene rules and regulations are in place and are followed by all employeesEnsure that the correct PPE is worn at all time by all staff working in the warehouse environmentEnsure that all staff adhere to the Company Health & Safety regulations & rules, if not address the matter with the specific employee immediately and report any incidents to the H&S officer and Warehouse managerProcesses and Procedures:Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered toEnsure that all processes and procedures are deployed accordingly in area of responsibilityRequirements:Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management3 years experience in a similar role and logistics environmentIf you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to logistics@hireresolve.za.comYou are welcome to contact Rebecca or Nehelene on 021 551 8638Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
